These standardized tests reflect the essentials that all Alberta students are expected to achieve, regardless of school choice or location.
Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs) are administered annually to all Alberta students in grades 6 and 9. For more information, see the 2022-23 provincial achievement tests fact sheet (PDF, 148 KB).
To help ensure test security, the province will be returning to fixed administration dates for provincial achievement tests.
